| Electricity Ft cut |
The Energy Regulatory Commission has agreed to cut the fuel tariff (Ft) on electricity for January to April 2015 by 10.04 satang per unit to lower the costs of electricity users.
ERC spokesman Veerapol Jirapraditkul said after a meeting of the commission that the Ft rate, a variable electricity charge, would go down from 69 satang per unit to 58.96 satang.
Recent sharp drops in global crude-oil prices were cited as the reasons for the Ft cut. He expects the oil price to stay at US$60 per barrel during the January-April period.
