Renewable Energy Project in Mae Hong Sorn

EforE had public hearing in development of Baan Mae Jo Hydro Project on September 20,2011 at Bua Nark Temple, Mae Tang District, Chiang Mai Province.

            Promoting of community-based renewable energy power plant is one ofEforE’s missions aiming to utilize local renewable energy resources for generating electricity, to enhance national energy security, and to generate more income to local communities. Hydro potential as well as the strength of the community in Baan Mae Jo, Mae Tang District, Chiang Mai Province triggeredEforE to develop the grid-connected pico hydro power plant in the form of cooperative.

            After the feasibility study of the project proves viable and the business model is initially set up, EforE conducted a public hearing at Bua Nark Temple, Mae Tang District, Chiang Mai Provinceon September 20, 2011. Through a public hearing forum, E for E provided the information on project detail, e.g. system component, construction process, impacts of the project, as well as the step in establishment of cooperative and the permission requirement.  All 102 villagers attended the forum and entirely accepted the project development.
