Summary of EforE’s accomplishment on ESCO FUND Phase I

(October 2008 – September 2010)

   Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) has allocated the budget from Energy Conservation Promotion Fund (ENCON Fund), amounting to 500 Million Baht in order to establish "ESCO Fund" for encouraging private investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Energy for Environment Foundation (EforE) is one of the fund managers from October 2008 to September 2010. Under EforE’s management, there are 15 Projects awarded the financial support amounting to 188.04 million baht. This has stimulated more than 2,800 million baht investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency as described below

Projects Awarded Investment Support in the Form of Equipment Leasing:  9 Projects

There are 15 projects awarded financial support from ESCO Fund, 9 of which are renewable energy projects with the total installed capacity 32.34 MW. The remaining are energy efficiency projects. The total energy savings from these 15 projects are equivalent to 350 million THB/year or 10.951 ktoe.

	1. True Energy Power Lopburi Co.,Ltd Location : Phattana Nikhom District, Lopburi Province True Energy Power Lopburi Co., Ltd is a Steam Turbine Biomass Power Plant with the installed capacity of 7.5 MW using woodchip as a fuel. The total investment is 390 MB, 23.25 MB of which has been co-invested by EforE. The project is now start its operation (Commercial Operation Date) in November 2011.

	2. Plan Ecoenergy Co.,Ltd Location : Yanta Khao district, Trang Province Plan Ecoenergy Co.,Ltd is a Gasification Biomass Power Plant with the installed capacity of 5.3 MW using rubber root as a fuel. The total investment is 325 MB, 22.07 MB of which has been co-invested by EforE. The project development started in September 2010. The project is now start its operation (COD) in Decomber 2013.

	3. Siam Solar Co.,Ltd Location : Wangmuang district, Saraburi Province Siam Solar Co.,Ltd is the solar farm project with the installed capacity of 0.9 MW, using Cadmium-Telluride Amorphous of Willard & Kelsey. The total investment is 105 MB, 39.2 MB has co-invested by EforE. This project is now start its operation (Commercial Operation Date) in February 2011.

	4. Solar Power (Korat1) Co., Ltd Location : Nonsung District, Nakornratchasima Province Solar Power Co., Ltd. is the PV farm project with the installed capacity of 6.1 MW, using polycrystalline PV modules. The total investment is 723 MB, 40 MB of which has been co-invested by EforE. The project started its operation (Commercial Operation Date) in April 2010.

	5. Solar Power (Sakorn Nakorn1) Co.,Ltd Location : Sawangdandin district, Sakorn Nakorn Province Solar Power Co.,Ltd is the PV farm project with the installed capacity of 6.1 MW, using polycrystalline PV modules. The total investment is 630 MB. EforE’s contribution to equity is 18.9 MB. The project is now start its operation (Commercial Operation Date) in February 2011.

	6. Solar Power (Nakorn Phanom1) Co.,Ltd Location : Muang district, Nakorn Phanom Province Solar Power Co.,Ltd is the PV farm project with the installed capacity of 6.1 MW, using polycrystalline PV modules. The total investment is 630 MB. EforE’s contribution to equity is 18.9 MB. The project is now start its operation (COD) in April 2011.

	1. Grand Ocean Co.,Ltd Location : Forum Plaza Department Store, Chonburi Province The project of Grand Ocean Co.,Ltd is to install chiller at Forum Plaza Department Store, Chonburi. EforE has provided 9.63 MB equipment leasing to support energy efficiency improvement. The equipment has already been installed and is now under commissioning. This project leads to over 190,000 baht/month energy saving.

	2. Newsomthai Moterwork Co.,Ltd Location : Newsomthai Motorwork Factory, Samut Prakan Province The project of Newsomthai Motorwork Co.,Ltd is to install voltage regulator. EforE has provided 5.56 MB equipment leasing to support this energy efficiency improvement. The equipment has already been installed and is now under commissioning. This project leads to over 78,400 baht/month energy saving.

	3. Century Hotel Co.,Ltd Location : Century Park Hotel, Bangkok The project of Century Hotel Co.,Ltd. is to install solar water heating system at Century Park Hotel. EforE provided 3.91 MB equipment leasing to support this energy efficiency improvement. The equipment has already been installed and is now commissioning. This project leads to over 70,000 baht LPG saving.

	4. Goldmark Technical supply Co.,Ltd Location : Hall of opium golden triangle park, Mae Fah Luang Foundation, Chiangrai Province The project of ดูผลการสนทนาเพิ่มเติมGolden Technical Supply Co.,Ltd’s project is to install SHAW Method of Air Conditioning (SMAC) at Hall of opium golden triangle park. EforE has provided 2.2 MB equipment leasing to support this energy efficiency improvement. The equipment is now under installation and test run. This project leads to over 47,000 baht/month energy saving.

	5. Rongngan A. Yangthai (1992) Co.,Ltd Location : A. Yangthai Factory, Nakornprathom Province The project of Rongngan A. Yangthai (1992) Co.,Ltdt is to install voltage regulator at A. Yangthai Factory. EforE has provided 896,600 baht equipment leasing to support this energy efficiency improvement. The equipment is now under installation and test run. This project leads to over 20,300 baht/month energy saving.

	6. Central City Tower Location : Central city Tower, Bangkok The project of Central City Tower is to high efficiency motor at Central City Tower. EforE has provided 1.69 MB equipment leasing to support this energy efficiency improvement. The equipment is now under installation and test run. This project leads to over 20,000 baht/month energy saving.

	7. Power Innovation Limited Partnership Location : Golden Crown Plaza Hotel Province The project of Power Innovation Limited Partnership is to install high efficiency motor at Golden Crown Plaza Hotel. EforE has provided 434,000 baht equipment leasing to support this energy efficiency improvement. The equipment is now under installation and test run. This project leads to over 43,400 baht/month energy saving

	8. Power Innovation Limited Partnership Location : Asian Hatyai Hotel, Songkhla Province The project of Power Innovation Limited Partnership is to install high efficiency motor in Asian Hatyai Hotel. EforE has provided 500,000 baht equipment leasing to support this energy efficiency improvement. The equipment is now under installation and test run. This project leads to over 111,300 baht/month energy saving.

	9. Thermal Tech Co.,Ltd Location : Samchuck district, Supanburi Province The project of Thermal Tech Co.,Ltd is to install 30 kW gas engine to biogas system in Samchuck. EforE has provided 888,100 Baht equipment leasing to the investors.
